CREA8TOR.FUND

Rules

Effective September 2, 2026.

Crea8tor.fund is a public leaderboard for independent music. Songs and creator videos compete for rank based on real money paid — there’s no editorial review, no algorithm, no moderation queue. Rank is what you pay, nothing else.

The board

There are two leaderboards — Songs and Videos — and each one resets on the 1st of every month. A listing’s rank is the highest paid bid it has this month. Last month’s rank doesn’t carry over: everyone starts even, every month.

Genre and content-type filters (Lo-Fi, Folk, GRWM, Travel, and so on) are a lens on the same board, not a separate competition. Your bid determines your rank both overall and within your category.

How bidding works

  • Listing a new song or video requires a starting bid: $1 minimum, no maximum, whole dollars only.
  • To take a rank away from whoever’s holding it, bid at least $1 more than the current amount at that position.
  • A bid raises that listing’s own rank — it doesn’t create a second, competing entry. Anyone can put money behind any listing, not only the artist or creator who originally submitted it.
  • Bids are non-refundable once payment confirms. Getting outranked later doesn’t return your money.

What you can list

  • Songs: a public Spotify track link.
  • Videos: a public YouTube video link.
  • The link has to resolve to a real, playable track or video — we check before a listing goes through.
  • Every listing needs a genre or category, picked at submission.

What’s not allowed

  • Links that don’t actually play — dead, private, or region-locked content.
  • Content that’s illegal, infringing, sexually explicit, or that impersonates someone without authorization.
  • Automated or bulk submissions that abuse normal use of the site.

See the Terms of Service for the full list of prohibited use and our right to remove listings.

After you list or bid

  • Your listing goes live immediately — there’s no review queue before it’s public.
  • Clicks and plays on your entry are visible to anyone who visits the board.
  • Completing checkout is what claims the rank, and means you’ve agreed to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Thematic promotion

The “Get Promoted by Thematic” and “Trending Songs for Your Videos” panels link out to Thematic’s own site. That’s a separate, optional thing — it isn’t part of the Crea8tor.fund ranking mechanic, and using it (or not) has no effect on your rank here.
